Hello and Welcome Back!
Thank you very much for following along. Would you prefer to listen to Dr. Dave discuss this subject? If so, CLICK HERE!
Several of these past videos have been long and heavy, but they contain things that just need to be said.
In the end, your story can only be written and told by you, and this means living your life the way you want to live it.
I was talking to my son Anderson the other day and he said one of the toughest things about our job is telling people they need to eat healthy and take care of themselves.
I realized that this might be our message, but it’s not what we are saying, we are encouraging people to go live…, that’s all.
If you like living, you will probably want to do more of it, and the best way is to live a lifestyle that promotes life and living on your terms.
This is how we at Paragon Chiropractic can help.
Buddha once said,
“What’s true for you, is true for you, and what isn’t true for you, isn’t true for you.”
Perhaps your definition of life and health and wellness is eating birthday cake, drinking Jack Daniel’s and riding your motorcycle 200 mph.
If so, why aren’t you doing this? GO LIVE
As you do this and live, you will start to realize things, have cognitions, and make changes accordingly and on your own terms.
Perhaps you stop riding your motorcycle at 200 mph, not because you think it’s dangerous or anything but every time you get caught you get arrested and put in jail.
The problem with this isn’t jail or the fines, but that you can’t eat birthday cake and drink Jack Daniel’s in jail, so you start riding your motorcycle a little slower.
And a funny thing, those times you were in jail and didn’t drink Jack and eat birthday cake, you felt better, and you found that by not being a raging diabetic you enjoy riding your motorcycle more if only because you don’t have to keep stopping all the time to go to the bathroom because of the diabetes.
See, learning is occuring. Sounds crazy but as you live you learn and you find what works best for you..
Many years ago, my mom was a smoker, but she was a little more miserly than a smoker and when cigarettes went to $3 a pack, she handed them back to the clerk and said they were too expensive and quit. She hasn’t smoked since.
But was it because smoking was harmful to her or unhealthy or anything?
No, they cost too much.
If one looks at their life they will probably find a lot of dumb things that they do, and they know better, but they haven’t found that truth for them, that thing they want more, something totally non sequitur to all the “right” reasons why they should or shouldn’t do something.
Because it’s good for me is the worst reason, because if one eats healthy and exercises daily, he dies anyway…
So go live and set your own course, but LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
But do so on a gradient scale- step by step, do what you can, and then do a little more until you make it.
Eventually our motorcycle rider will get there and be the model of health and wellness, but it is a step by step process.
Find what you can do, do it, and then do a little more until you arrive, and then keep going!
Take Care,
Dr. Dave
