About Us

Why Paragon Chiropractic?

One of the key issues that sets Paragon Chiropractic apart from other health care practitioners is our desire to help you decrease your dependency on doctors, medications, specific treatment techniques, a failing healthcare system, insurance companies, and anything else that wants to monopolize your future.

You really can know about yourself, and know what to do to help yourself to the best possible life you can create.

In most cases, people simply are not aware of themselves and the things that they do or don’t do. Right now your poor computer posture, you know the one, slouched down in the chair, head sticking out like a turtle with your shoulders shoved into your ears, is causing many of the headaches, neck and low back pains that keep you from enjoying life. If you knew, and you can know, how to sit, how to modify your computer station more ergonomically many of those aches and pains would no longer bother you.

This is, ”Why Paragon Chiropractic?”- not only do we offer affordable care to help you through your acute pain, but, and only if you want to know, the doctors can show you what dysfunctions are causing your particular health situation, and what you can do to correct it, prevent it and self-manage it should the problem return. Otherwise, you are free to discontinue care when you feel you have gotten the results you are looking for.

More than reducing dependency, the doctors at Paragon Chiropractic are on your side and want to create the type of relationship where you know you can get quality care and real help, help that actually helps you get the most out of your life.

Our Philosophy

Rather than recommending long, drawn out treatment programs that seem to keep you coming back forever, the doctors at Paragon Chiropractic provide Patient-Centered Healthcare; that is to say, health care that focuses upon delivering exactly what you want and not some outcome desired by the doctor or insurance adjuster.

This might mean referral to another type of specialist or healthcare for tests and examinations, but Patient-Centered is doing what is best to help you, the patient achieve your health care goals.

Spectacular Results

At Paragon Chiropractic the results can be spectacular- often times miraculous- but, this is no guarantee that Paragon Chiropractic will work for you. Like many things in life, chiropractic care is simply not for everyone, nor does it help everyone.

In fact, should you decide to present your health concerns to the doctors at Paragon Chiropractic, we make no promises that we will accept your case unless we believe that our care will work for you.

This is why it is always so important to take the time to listen, to understand, and rather than assuming that everyone is a candidate for chiropractic care, care enough to help and do what is best for the person sitting right in front of us- you!

The best care is the care that actually helps and this is the spectacular results that can be found at Paragon Chiropractic.

Our Team

Dr. R. David Welch, III

A 1986 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic, Dr. Welch also studied at Illinois State University, Purdue University and at Austria’s Salzburg College.

Prior to beginning his university studies, Dr. Welch severely injured his lower back while playing sports and weight-lifting. It was during his rehabilitation that he discovered the full benefits of chiropractic care. The experience taught him that providing similar help to others would be a noble goal.

During his studies at the National College of Chiropractic, Dr. Welch worked for three years as an associate to the doctor who helped restore his health. His unique first-hand experience as both a patient and a doctor-coupled with long, hot summers spent laboring in the steel mills of south Chicago- allowed Dr. Welch the opportunity to witness life through the eyes of those who live it.

His experiences as a laborer, student, executive, professional and patient taught him the hazards various lifestyles pose to the human body. At Paragon Chiropractic, Dr. Welch relies on that experience to provide the very best of chiropractic care.

Dr. Diane E. Krieger

A 1985 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic, Dr. Krieger also studied at the University of Iowa. While attending National College, she also received additional training and certification in Chinese medical techniques. Her training included knowledge and proficiency in the use of acupuncture, acupressure and other related Chinese healing philosophies.

A doctor of chiropractic, wife and mother, Dr. Krieger draws from her vast experience to provide top quality care to each and every one of her patients at Paragon Chiropractic. She also addresses the health-care concerns of women and new mothers by specializing in drug-free alternatives. Dr. Krieger stresses natural means for preventing and dealing with problems associated with puberty, pregnancy, childbirth, child development, menopause and other female health concerns.

Dr. Krieger’s clinical work has been published in the Journal of Manipulative & Physiological Therapeutics.
