Hello!
I hope you are continuing to enjoy these blogs.
As I’ve said in earlier blogs, the greatest compliment anyone could pay me is to say, “You know, I never looked at it that way before!”
And there’s that motion and movement thing again!
And as I’ve said in earlier blogs, there is so much more to health and wellness than just eating a few carrot sticks, taking vitamins, and seeing the chiropractor. A person really is who and what they think they are, and not just believe they are, but with thought make themselves to be.
This includes one’s health and wellness status, and the type of world they find themselves living in.
We’ve seen people who simply seem to be made of Teflon- everything just slides right off of them, and others who seem to be a disaster magnet.
A little hard to believe, but it really is based on a person’s tone level- you know, are they happy and alive and smiling and pushing through, or are they afraid of their own shadow, or mad about everything, and how they look at people and the world around them?
Those who feel everyone is out to get them, generally get it, and those who think people are generally good and trying to do the best they can seem to encounter these types of people mostly, and things go well.
Here’s an interesting thought…,
Sometimes, to have something to compete against, people make things more difficult and arduous than they need to. This is mostly to have a game- you know, us against them. It is important to keep this in mind when looking at others and the world around us- am I, or are they making things way more difficult than they have to be just to have some game to play, something to do?
I remember a number of years ago watching my son Austin play Little League. It looked so easy. The pitcher was lobbing the ball over the plate, the fences were only 200 feet out there. Man, I could have hit a home run every time up to bat if I was playing the game Austin was playing. It looked so easy, and nothing like the game I played when I was 10. The pitchers could throw 100 mph, they had curveballs and sliders, and the fences were about 1000 feet out there!
Wow, here I was 30 years later and I realized we were both playing the same game. The only difference was how I looked at it back then when I was 10, as compared to how I looked at it when I was 40, or even now at 59! It really was supposed to be fun- not the life and death thing I made it out to be in my head!
It kind of dawned on me while I watched Austin, that maybe if I could have pulled back a little bit when I was 10, and not been so involved in making the game I was playing more difficult than it actually was, well… maybe I would have made it to the bigs!!!
I tell you this because it is important to realize this as we continue through life. It really is no more, and no less than what you think it is, and what you make it out to be. There really isn’t a “they” who are going to do all of these horrible things to us. “They” can only exist if you create them, and “they” will only do to you what you let them do.
Here’s a quote to leave you with from Tom Robbins,
“… disbelief in magic can force a poor soul into believing in governments and business..”
