Alright, and Welcome Back for MORE!!!!!
So what do you think? Kind of an interesting thought that we can and do create our own futures, or at least we are capable of doing so, and whether it is the future you hoped for, or not… it is still the one you created.
There are lots of reasons why a person might create a not so great future for themselves, and a lot of that has to do with the need to be right, not being able to confront what actually is, and/or being under the control at times of not so great, contra-survival thoughts floating around in their heads.
Why would a person not want to create a really great, happy, and prosperous future for themselves? Great question, and one I would be very happy to discuss with you if you are interested.
Sure there are people who are only interested in doing themselves and others in, but I would think the vast majority are truly trying to do the best they can with what they’ve got. And yet, the sad stories are a dime a dozen.
It’s my opinion that most look only at right now, or some recollection of a past right now, or “listen” to that something in their head that has it totally wrong, and as a result, do not plan for the future. Remember, tomorrow always comes, always. Whether it’s a day you are looking forward to, or perhaps one that you are dreading- it always arrives.
So know this- time marches on, and a person can either follow along, and be “driven” as it were into the future, arriving heaven knows where, OR perhaps grab the wheel and steer themselves to a tomorrow of their creation.
Believe it or not, we are all in “training” for that day, whatever that day may be. We are on the road to it right now.
One’s actions or inactions bring them right to the moment they find themselves in at this moment and the future.
Ignored the engine warning light for the past 5 months?
That’s why your car broke down in rush hour traffic on the most important day of your business life. When else would the car break down than on the day you absolutely have to make the big meeting?
Researchers are now discovering that most people who suffer from Alzheimer’s started the process 20-50 years before the first symptom ever appeared. It didn’t just happen.
On the other hand, if you are reaping the rewards of today, know that you set the path to this day in motion some time ago, and here you are. WOW! Pretty cool.
If you’ll recall I quoted an interesting Chinese Proverb in the previous blog,
“The best time to have planted a tree was 20 years ago, the second-best time is now.”
Unfortunately, we can’t go back 20 years and plant the tree we need today, but we can plant the one we will need tomorrow right now.
I suppose the truth be known, we have done nothing else if not planted trees every day of our lives. If I do the math on myself, a few trees each day since I was born, carry the 9… WOW, I’ve planted at least a million and a half trees!
So the tree you need is out there, and once upon a time you planted it- now, where in the heck is it?!?
If you can think it and see it in your mind, it exists… somewhere, but it does exist! That should brighten your day!
But we are all on the paths of our own creation heading toward a destination, or a point in time that is likewise of our own creation.
I mention this as most are not interested in getting old, getting sick, and ending horribly, and yet… most are on that very path right now.
“Oh, but I don’t want to be, what can I do?”
Do not worry about it, take a good look in the mirror at yourself, look at others and the world around you and see how you would like it to be.
Make the decision in your mind as to how you want things to be in the future, and discover what you will have to do to make it so… and then do it!
Know that for better or for worse whatever IS right now is because you had a hand in making it so, and so you can make it how you want. You made this, so why not make something you really want?
If one is looking for a magic word to make all of their dreams and wishes come true that word would be…LIFESTYLE.
It’s how you live, so live how you want to be, and that’s how it will be. And however you are living right now, is how it is. Change the lifestyle, and make it so!
“Oh no, this sounds like another one of Dr. Dave’s Blogs!”
But what else could it be? Your livingness and how you do so creates the life and world you find yourself in today, so it only stands to reason that it will create the world you want to be in in the future, right?
Proper sleep, proper diet, healthy relationships with others, getting educated, and participating in the world you find yourself in today… live the life you want to live and as I said earlier, tomorrow always arrives. It’s a journey, an adventure with nowhere to arrive anyhow, and who would want to just keep moving, be fluid, and as I tell my kids,
“Be cool!”
Create tomorrow, and put yourself into tomorrow and there you’ll be. Don’t and you won’t- you’ll be something else in somebody else’s world- YUCK!

In the meantime, I will leave you with this quote from L. Ron Hubbard, a quote that could also take several blogs to dissect.
I really like this quote because it is the journey in the direction of becoming that is the real adventure. Like so many things in life, when one finally “becomes” the game is over. One must seek new challenges and work at becoming once again. The same is true for health and well being. There really is not a state of being well and health, one must work at becoming so each and every day. That’s the joy of being alive. The quote is in reference to an individual.
“The only time he ever had any fun was when he was trying to be something. He knew he wasn’t yet, but he was going to be.”
“Happiness is the overcoming of obstacles toward a known goal.”
“Every successful man discovers this, by the way. He discovers it with horror- that the day he becomes something, he knows that those years of struggle which he cursed, were themselves the adventure. The struggle was the adventure. The becoming something was not the adventure.”
I know this blog is a little heavy, but it is kind of easy to understand, and we at Paragon Chiropractic are always here to help you on your journey.

Hi Doctor Dave,
Very good! I am pleased to see you passing out LRH data to your public and friends. That is very good and is needed! We all need to do that!! Are you currently doing any training courses? Cheers “Doc” Jim
Hey “Doc” Jim,
Thanks for reading along. The LRH quotes usually impinge on a person right where he is. I enjoy them, and will definitely share more.
Currently, I’m listening to tapes at home.
