Hello,
I hope you’ve been enjoying the last several blogs, and more so, have started doing your own study on the importance of sleep, eating in a time-restricted window, getting plenty of outdoor time with sunshine and exercise, and above all, continuing to…
Study!
Studying Is The Key To Learning and Bettering Your Life
That’s the key to everything- Study.
It’s the only route out. One cannot be adversely affected or harmed by something that he or she knows about. It’s the stuff a person doesn’t know about that will keep him from ever prospering in this life or any other.
Prospering is such an interesting concept.
Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary 11th Edition defines it as,
“The condition of being successful or thriving…, to become strong and flourish…, enjoying vigorous and healthy growth.”
We considered changing the name of Paragon Chiropractic to The Paragon Chiropractic Prosperity Center, but it sounds too much like an investment firm, and perhaps it really is…, the best investment that one can make is in oneself and his willingness to demonstrate his abilities.
As one studies, as one gains understanding and wisdom so does one prosper, and through this, the world we love lives another day!
I have been hearing through the grapevine that a number of my blog followers have bought the books I’ve recommended and have been reading them. I couldn’t be happier than if I wrote the books myself!
If any of you have questions or would like to discuss what you’ve been studying, please let me know. I will be happy to help.
Understand, the circadian code is not the end-all to be all it shows that our bodies evolved along an evolutionary track and that aligning with those processes will help us “prosper” and improve our health spans so that they might be as long as our life spans. Interesting concept.
Keep in mind, there are two other parts to man and those are the mind and spirit. These can have a tremendous influence on the body both good and bad.
But understanding the circadian code, and knowing that every cell and organ in each of our bodies are under the control of built-in clocks that evolved and developed over the eons; aligning and optimizing physiological function- prosperity.
Understand them, and apply discipline and they will organize all of our bodies’ physiologic functions much like a precision Swiss watch.
If the spirit would simply understand and control the mind, and let the body follow its evolutionary code there is no telling how prosperous one could be!
Through study, one is not learning or being taught per se, but rather quite the opposite… one is actually unlearning, and being untaught. As one studies, one begins to simply know and can differentiate truth from nonsense. This most certainly would add to one’s health span and survival- prosperity.
It was Thomas Sowell who once said,
“We are all born ignorant, but we are taught to be stupid.”
This is not meant to offend. I will be the first to tell you that I was taught to be stupid most of my life if only for the fact that for all the school I have attended, I was never taught how to study.
I know now, and if you are having trouble studying, I would love to talk to you about it and show you how you can learn how to study.
But that ability to study, to reason, to think and apply…, that is our birthright, and in the end, our salvation.
I won’t go into examples of what I’m talking about- they will only upset you at which time your ability to think and reason will go out the window. Have you ever seen an intelligent and reasonable angry man?
You know, I’ll probably leave this blog at that, and end with a quote from Confucius,
“Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.”
And it is for that reason, I must return to study!
Take Care,
Dr. Dave
P.S. I would love to talk to you guys about this stuff, so please feel free to e-mail me, leave a comment, or stop by the office.

I love your blogs!! It’s wonderful information!! They are just like your adjustments… that feeling of “this makes me feel great! I think learning about your body, not what they teach in schools, but what you convey in your blog, shows us at any age we have this wonderful innate ability to heal ourselves!! Thank you!
Hi Tina,
Wow, I couldn’t have said it better myself! Keep in mind we are taught what someone thinks we need to know or not know, but not really encouraged to do our own study and discover that this is an amazing world, full of incredible people doing incredible things- many of those things helping us to continue to make this an incredible world full of incredible people doing incredible things!
Thank you for reading along!
