So have you been thinking about what health and wellness mean to you?

Have you been thinking about what a healthy and well YOU would even look like?

If not, and provided this is desirable, how will you ever be healthy and well if you don’t know what this is for you, and what it would even look like?

Keep in mind, this is never set in stone- a person can always change his mind- Man’s secret weapon, so secret that most don’t realize that they can simply change their mind whenever they want and journey on an entirely different path!

But do you see what I’m getting at?

If I were to ask you to get a picture in your mind of a healthy and well person, what would this person look like?

Was it you?

Of course, it probably wasn’t, and not because you aren’t- we’ve let snake oil salesmen, Madison Avenue advertisers, and Hollywood tell us what healthy and well are, haven’t we?

Now, that’s a problem.

If I were to ask you to recall at any stage in your life, what healthy and well looked like at that time, would you have seen yourself at that particular time in your life?

So most have spent the better part of their life not living up to the expectations of snake oil salesmen, advertisers, and Hollywood!

True confessions…, I am not one of the most beautiful people- I know, I’ll give you a few seconds to catch your breath.

But in some capacity every day, I work on being healthy and well even though I don’t look like Tom Selleck!

All of these images are fabricated, figments of one’s imagination, so…, why not imagine yourself healthy and well, and do those things that work for you to make you so?

In the previous blog, I gave my definition of healthy and well, but I thought of another single-word concept that might work- self-responsibility.

This would be a person who was willing to help themselves and take care of themselves. This would ultimately be the life that a person lives or rather their lifestyle.

One must create oneself healthy and well each and every day if one wants to be healthy and well.

How many times have you heard someone, or perhaps even yourself say,

“I’m doing everything I am supposed to be doing, but it’s not working.”

Oh, it’s working, whatever it is you are doing, it is working, but not along the path of what you are trying to achieve.

This would be the time to seek help and advice and make workable corrections/modifications to achieve your goals.

This is what the “cool” people at Paragon Chiropractic do best- offer guidance, education, and help!

You might just wind up living the life of your dreams, and why would anyone want to do anything other than that?
