Thank you for listening and following along. I hope you are digging all of this, and more importantly- are applying it!

You know I just heard a patient tell Dr. Diane that she is working on her Time Restricted Eating Window, that is they eat only for a certain period of time each day, and it is almost a 10-hour window.

The problem?

This patient says that when they wake in the morning, they are very hungry.

Makes sense at some level, right? I mean if the person hasn’t eaten anything for at least 13 hours or so, I think they would feel hungry.

But wait a second. This person is not a thin muscular person they have a considerable amount of adiposity, which is a nice way of saying, “fat”.

What if rather than waking up and needing to eat, this person could throw their fat switch and convert the fat stores into ketones that they could burn for fuel, instead of needing to eat so soon?

Ketones are more nutrient-dense and a much better fuel and source of energy than sugar and carbohydrates, and they last much longer…, AKA, not starving all of the time.

Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But how does a person do this? Where’s the switch?

The person does this by eliminating carbohydrates and sugars, grains, grain flours, polyunsaturated vegetable oils, and trans-fats…, and eats proteins, vegetables, and fats until their body converts stored fats into ketones for fuel.

Once the body is not getting simple, easy fuel from carbs and sugars, it will initially cannibalize muscle tissue for a short while until it sees all of this fat lying around and will convert the fat into ketones and use those for fuel instead.

Again, BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!

The big bonus to all of this?

A person will reduce and eliminate chronic inflammation, and the potential for all of the many diseases and disorders out there that lay in wait.

As was mentioned in earlier videos, chronic joint and back pain can be a sign of much worse as the biochemistry and immune responses behind degenerating the joints and spine are the same that break down the heart, brain, and other vital organs.
