Hello and Welcome Back!

As one looks around one sees people who no longer look like people. Most are amorphous blobs that are overweight or obese and no longer look like our ancestors.

Boy, that was a mean thing to say, right?

But am I wrong?

This isn’t body shaming and all of the other nonsense, but are we simply watching evolution unfold before our very eyes, and calling it the new normal?

But is it?

I read that evolutionary changes take somewhere on the order of 70,000 years, and what I’ve seen is something that has been quickly creeping to the fore over the past few decades.

Perhaps we aren’t evolving to a “new” norm after all.

Normal is considered to be the average, the typical, that which is expected.

It’s kind of ironic really, for how hard people work to assert their individuality, and not realizing that they are thinking, looking, and acting like everyone else…, in fact, per our definition, they are normal.

But are they healthy?

Are you healthy?

Normal in the world of health and wellness is a standard that helps you and your body live the longest and die the shortest- healthy and well most of your life, and ill for only a fraction of your time here on Earth.

I know of many people who are a hundred pounds or more overweight who have been told by their medical doctors that their blood work and examination findings are all good…, and nothing to worry about.

For the most part, this might be true and everything was just fine right up until the moment it wasn’t and out of the clear blue these people are now chronically ill, heart patients, diabetics, need chemo and dialysis, and a host of many, many expensive medications that only make them sicker.

In the end, they lived short and died long and slowly for most of their lives.

So why not give us a call here at Paragon Chiropractic and at least ask a few questions about how we can help you- and understand that is totally the point- help you reduce your chronic inflammation and the risk of you contracting one or many of the 10,000 plus diseases and disorders that plague mankind.

It’s as easy and as difficult as making those lifestyle changes that promote health and wellness, and stopping those lifestyle behaviors that are harming you.

Seriously, why not take the time to find out what we are talking about, I guarantee you there will come a day when you will want to know, but by then it might be too late.

Funny how a person never seems to have the time and money to do what they want to do, but can always manage to spend tens of thousands of dollars to lie in a bed somewhere dying.

Something to think about.

Take Care,

Dr. Dave
