Hello and Welcome Back!

I hope you have been enjoying these blogs. Would you prefer to listen along with Dr. Dave? If so, CLICK HERE!

You know, so often when a person listens to a video or reads a blog, they are burdened with another thing to worry about.

They now have problems and worries about things that 10 minutes earlier they didn’t even know existed.

As Fred Sanford used to say,

“Elizabeth honey, this is the big one!”

I mean that’s what I think anytime I look something up on PubMed or the Internet…,

“Well, that’s what it is, and now the end is near!”

You know, if we at Paragon couldn’t easily help you get over or prevent the stuff I talk about in these videos and blogs, I wouldn’t even mention it.

Why not live your life and enjoy yourself without worrying about all of the things that could get you?

And honestly, that’s all we are trying to do!

I once read that half the fun of any journey is getting there.

And once you are there, you will have to work at staying there.

But what else would you do, lay around and stare at the wall?

Think about this, would you rather have a million dollars in the bank, or live like you had a million dollars in the bank?

Do you get where I’m heading with all of this?

Spirit of play and the joy of living.

Would you rather take a pill that made you healthy and perhaps even immortal, or would you rather live a lifestyle that made you healthy, but left you mortal?

If you just took a pill, what would you do for the rest of the 23 hours, fifty-nine minutes, and fifty seconds each day?

You’ve left a lot of life on the table.

Now what?

Oh no, you are going to have to live!

And keep in mind, longevity isn’t necessarily life.

My grandfather made it to 97 years old!!!

The worst part was that he wasn’t able to walk around, he couldn’t see because of diabetes, and wasn’t able to hear because of years in the steel mill.

Each day he sat in a 10’ x 12’ room with a lady who had Alzheimer’s and dementia, trying to look out of a window at a world he could no longer be a part of.

Everyone he knew was dead…, he was alone in the world.

But medical science was able to keep him alive or close to being alive.

I won’t tell you all the medications and surgeries he had, but each one left him significantly less than he was and made it more and more difficult for him to die.

What would have been so bad about just letting Grandfather live his life, instead of trying to keep him alive at any cost?

I don’t know, do you?

It’s something to think about!

Take Care,

Dr. Dave
