Hello,

Welcome back to this week’s video blog. I would like to thank everyone for following along and for commenting. I really appreciate it.

If I were to take a poll and ask people what they thought were healthy lifestyle practices most would tell me that eating well, getting plenty of sleep, exercising and sunlight were at the top of their lists.

In fact, when I describe healthy lifestyle practices most assure me that they eat very well, get plenty of sleep, exercise and sunlight each day.

And recent studies show this to be the case:

A YouGov survey found nearly 4 in 5 US consumers, 79%, thought that foods high in sugar, trans fats and high calorie/low nutrition foods were unhealthy.

What’s more, a 2018 survey by Ipsos Public Affairs found that 85% of Americans say they know how to eat right, but 3 out of 4 adults felt they would probably feel better if they tried harder to stay fit.

We could all do better, right?

SO WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?:

Apparently people know what’s healthiest for them, and according to what most patients tell me, that’s exactly what they’re doing, all the healthy stuff…, so what’s the problem?

I mean, if it weren’t for the fact that nearly 70% of the US population is overweight or obese, it sounds like we are all on the same page.

So, what’s the problem?

There’s only one answer…,

People really don’t know what’s healthiest for them, and on the off chance that they do, most aren’t doing what is healthiest for them on a consistent basis.

True confessions, are you really doing those things that you know to be healthy for you consistently and on a daily basis?

And I am not necessarily talking about all of the stuff you’ve been told to do, I’m talking about those things that you personally believe to be good for you.

This could be anything from gardening, to calling your mom once a week or having a nip of brandy before bed- whether these practices are healthy or not, it is what you believe you need to do to stay hale and hearty!

Do you do what you believe to be healthy for you on a consistent basis, if at all?

NOW LET’S LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN:

Okay, so perhaps you aren’t doing all the best things consistently, but is it possible that on a daily or weekly basis that you are doing things that you know aren’t good for you, perhaps harmful, or maybe even potentially deadly?

Let’s see what the studies show:

A recent study revealed that about 85% of those participants in a Nutritious Diet study had inaccurately assessed the quality of their diets.

A Mayo Clinic study found that only 2.7% of Americans actually exhibit 4 basic fundamental characteristics of a healthy lifestyle:

  1. being sufficiently active,
  2. eating a healthy diet,
  3. being a non-smoker,
  4. and having a recommended body fat percentage.

Only 47% of Americans are sufficiently active, less than 38% consume a healthy diet, less than 10% have an acceptable BMI, and 70% of adults reported themselves as non-smokers.

In fact, only 12% of American adults are metabolically healthy- that means that these Americans are not experiencing Metabolic Syndrome, which is a series of unhealthy measurements including elevated blood fats, elevated triglycerides, elevated blood sugar and blood pressure, and waist measurements over 40 inches for males, and 36 for females.

It appears that most people really don’t know what to do, and if they do, they more than likely don’t do it. Instead continuing practices that are harmful, if not potentially deadly.

Yes, I know, I’m a chiropractor and I should be making videos of grabbing people and cracking the living crap out of them, but how can we talk about making popping noises when 88% of the US population are very unhealthy with the prodromes of those diseases that will ultimately put them in an early grave?

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

If you are experiencing chronic pain, which is defined as pain that is persistent, or recurring for 3 months or more, know that this is due to uncontrolled and unresolved chronic inflammation- plain and simple.

Next video blog I will talk about the power of intermittent fasting and fasting in general. It will blow your mind.

In the meantime if you are experiencing pain that simply will not go away here is what I recommend:

UltraInflamX as your only food for two weeks, coupled with 1 or 2 SPMs daily. This will end your chronic inflammation, help seal your gut and you will probably lose 20 lbs or so. Can’t go wrong!
